Resident - Department of Physical Therapy

The Department of Physical Therapy within the UTSW School of Health Professions offers advanced residency positions for physical therapists seeking specialized clinical training. Applicants must demonstrate prior experience and a focused interest in a specific area of clinical concentration, including Orthopedics, Sports, Neurology, or Cardiopulmonary practice.
All candidates are required to apply through the RF-PTCAS centralized application system, complete all application and interview requirements, and be selected by the Department of Physical Therapy for the designated specialty residency.
Eligibility requirements include graduation from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and licensure (or eligibility for licensure) to practice in the state of Texas.
This 12-month residency program features over 300 hours of didactic coursework within the chosen specialty area, along with opportunities for engagement in research and participation in academic teaching activities coordinated by the Department of Physical Therapy.
