EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

- Education
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related healthcare field
- Experience
8 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including
5 years of manager-level or above nursing leadership experience
- Licenses and Certifications
(RN) REGISTERED NURSE licensure in the state of Texas
- Experience
Experience in an academic medical center
Experience leading multisite ambulatory care networks

JOB DUTIES
- Provides nursing oversight for a multispecialty, multisite ambulatory portfolio generating significant annual visit volumes.
- Ensures that ambulatory nursing care delivery models align with academic medical center complexity, regulatory standards, and system growth initiatives while fostering a high reliability, patient-centered culture. Partners with service line Medical Directors, Department Chairs, and Ambulatory Operations leadership to align clinical care models with strategic growth plans.
- Develops and sustains optimal staffing models across RN, LVN, MA, and clinical support roles. Accountable for nursing labor management, workforce efficiency, and resource allocation. Leads recruitment, retention, engagement, and succession planning initiatives.
- Develops and executes nursing strategies that support access, quality, safety, patient experience, and financial sustainability. Makes recommendations, oversees activities, and drives initiatives to improve patient safety, throughput, regulatory readiness, care responsiveness, and telephone triage effectiveness.
- Serves as the senior nursing voice within portfolio or service line governance structures. Presents to various senior-level audiences. Serves on other committees as representative of assigned program as appropriate.
- Ensures nursing practice aligns with state licensure, regulatory standards, and evidence-based ambulatory care guidelines. Ensures top-of-license practice across all clinical roles. Supports Magnet designation and ANCC standards for professional practice.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and optimizing clinical workflows, triage models, care management processes, and scope-of-practice clarity. Oversees standardization of clinical documentation, decision support tools, and specialty-informed protocols.
- Promotes a culture of customer service aimed at creating an optimal patient experience and a collaborative work environment. Assists with the development of reward and recognition tools to promote exemplary performance in keeping with institutional core values.
- Analyzes data to develop new and/or revise existing programs. Develops project proposals and coordinates vetting and approval with stakeholders. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
- Partners with departmental and physician leadership to advise on clinical space utilization and ongoing facility development.
- Develops and coaches nursing leaders on performance management, fiscal stewardship, and leadership competencies. Fosters a culture of accountability, psychological safety, and professional growth.
- Responsible for development and monitoring of final budgets in assigned areas. Collaborates with Ambulatory Operations on budgeting, productivity targets, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Interprets data dashboards and analytics to drive performance improvements across patient access, call management and triage metrics, revenue cycle impact of clinical workflows, clinical quality indicators.
- Leads event review, just culture initiatives, and safety culture improvement. Partners with Risk Management and Compliance on clinical investigations and process redesign.
