JOB SUMMARY
The Enterprise Integration Manager at UTSW leads enterprise integration strategy and oversees the delivery and operational excellence of integration platforms including Boomi and Azure services. This role involves managing a team, defining standards, and ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant integration solutions aligned with institutional priorities. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Enterprise integration leadership: The manager defines UTSW’s integration and API strategy, governs integration patterns including API-first, event-driven, and healthcare interoperability standards, and collaborates with enterprise architecture to align cloud and security architectures.
  • Platform ownership and technical oversight: Responsible for Boomi iPaaS and Azure integration services, the role sets standards for reliability and lifecycle management, drives platform upgrades, and reduces technical debt across hybrid environments.

     

  • API governance and real-time integration: The manager enforces API lifecycle management and security standards, leads design reviews, and champions event-driven integration to enable timely data movement, collaborating with data platform teams for scalable event processing.
  • Team leadership and institutional collaboration: Leading a team of architects and developers, the role focuses on career development, staffing, and succession planning, while overseeing integration delivery and acting as a trusted advisor to various institutional stakeholders to promote scalable, reusable solutions.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

  • Education
    High School Diploma or equivalent or 
    Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in computer science, math, information systems, or other related field 
     
  • Experience
    8 years progressively responsible and applicable information technology experience with High School Diploma including 2 years in supervisory or managerial role or 
    6 years progressively responsible information technology experience with bachelor's degree including 2 years in supervisory or managerial role.

     

     

     

  • Preferred

     

    Boomi certification.
     

JOB DUTIES

  • Manages Information Resources section, such as Network Services, Software Systems Programming, Computer Training, etc. following university policies and procedures and using effective management, communication, and customer service skills to develop and ensure effective program.
  • Develops, revises, recommends, and interprets policies and procedures for section to ensure all applicable laws and governmental guidelines are followed and that employees are treated in equitable manner.
  • Coordinates various projects and programs for section ensuring all tasks are completed by established deadlines and to ensure that quality customer service is provided for faculty and staff.
  • Assists campus departments in assessing technical requirements that meet needs of their operation.
  • Completes work specific to assigned section using appropriate technologies and communication skills.
  • Supervises group of professional and/or administrative support employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
